In a wonderful spirit of collaboration, the project worked in partnership with Sutton Mencap, the Sutton Inclusion Centre, Sutton & District Training, Nickel Support, Carew Manor & a team from Coulsdon College 6th Form Art Students. The crew engaged a wide, diverse range of people from across the community to produce a great inclusive ‘connecting’ production where families of all ages and (dis)abilities came together.

Inspired by the original story, Alice’s Mad Tea Party featured, among the many familiar characters in Lewis Carroll's book, Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum tumbling about the garden, an absurd croquet game ending in a flamingo mallet sword fight and everyone eating stolen tarts as quickly as possible before the Queen of Hearts arrived.

Pre-show activities including painting roses, marching with the playing cards as they undertook their royal training and helping the hedgehogs as they planned their protest against croquet-based cruelty!

With costumes by Michelle Buttress and set designs by SamiArt, the occasion was visually stunning.

The family show thoroughly entertained a sell-out crowd for every performance, and received glowing praise!
A Digiglobal Production from SAVVY Theatre Company & SamiArt
