1991 - 31st August
DMS2624 on route 154 passes the old trolleybus depot and bus garage in Westmead Road on 31st August 1991. Of particular note is the "Suttonbus" logo on the front. 1992 - 17th March
The day that London Transport Metrobus M1220 ran amok in Shotfield, Wallington. London General was one of the operating companies arising from the 1984 ‘Nationalisation’ of London Transport, a hark back to the London General name familiar before London Transport became a single entity. 1994 - 13th October
M828 is on route 164 serving Sutton Station, where it will terminate, as the route no longer goes through to Epsom. Note the London General logo and the Network SouthEast colours on the station roof canopy. This is a popular interchange point for passengers between trains and buses and with Travelcards valid on London Underground, passengers are unlikely to pay an additional bus fare. 1994 - 18th October
This most attractive 'London General' livery is carried by M1440 on route 154 at Rose Hill on 18th October 1994. London General was the new name for the former Wandle Bus District and is now part of the Go Ahead group of bus and rail companies. Route 154 was introduced in March 1959 to replace trolleybus route 654 and ran beyond the 654 terminus at Sutton Green to provide a link with the Underground at Morden.
