FAIR 2012 -
Carshalton Park 27th August
August Bank Holliday Monday saw
the trusty Friends of Honeywood Museum gazebo once again erected in
Carshalton Park for the annual Environmental Fair.
The weather had looked potentially 'dodgy' since early morning, and this
may have attributed to the feeling that the event may have been a little
quieter than last year. But, with one or two very minor exceptions, the
rain held off until much later in the evening, allowing most of those
who attended to escape unscathed!

Most of those who visited were interested in the history of the local
area, and many of them had been to Honeywood Museum since it had been
refurbished and were generally full of praise for the outcome. Those
that hadn't were warmly encouraged to do so!
As in previous years, the Fair was obviously enjoyed by all and we can look back with a great
deal of satisfaction at engaging with so many interested visitors and
the fruits of a very successful trading day contributing to our funds.
